NOTE: Using the ESD Safe iron with a non- ESD Safe station does not make the entire system ESD Safe. All other functions of the stations are the same, so for customers that have the older non- ESD Hakko 936 that is white, but cannot find the white soldering irons, you can use the ESD Safe irons with no problems. To disable the temperature lockout feature on the 939, 929 and 927 station: Remove L6 from the sensor board inside the unit and place a solder bridge between the pads. The only physical difference between the two stations was the material they were made from. Modification of any Hakko product will void the warranty.
